Who am I?
I’m Sylvestre — a strategic designer, venture builder, and storyteller. I bring ideas to life at the intersection of culture, commerce, and creativity — whether that’s a product, a platform, a brand, or a system.
I work fluidly across disciplines — from finance to fiction, product to platform — grounded in experience and driven by curiosity. I thrive on turning bold ideas into ventures that shift behavior and spark emotion.
I see design as more than aesthetics— it’s a tool for building futures that are more connected, more human, and a little more exciting.
I recently graduated from Parsons School of Design, where I studied Strategic Design & Management and served as Student Trustee on the University Board. Through every step — from private banking in Argentina to launching impact-driven startups — I’ve learned one thing:
Purpose-driven design can change everything.
What I’ve Done
-
I’m the Founder & CEO of MATEÏ, a yerba mate start-up reimagining traditional culture for a new generation. With a product line that spans canned RTD cocktails, pop-up cafés, and reusable capsule systems, we’re combining Argentine identity with global wellness trends — and preparing for launch in Buenos Aires and NYC.
I also co-founded Venturis.ai, a SaaS platform for beverage entrepreneurs, helping new founders build their brands through AI-generated tools, investor connections, and smart contract-backed supply chain systems.
-
At the core of my work is the drive to turn vision into real, functional experiences — whether that's a physical product, a digital tool, or an end-to-end service model. I thrive in the messy middle between idea and execution, where design meets logistics and creativity meets constraint.
Some examples include:
MATEÏ RTD Cocktails
Designed and developed three original ready-to-drink yerba mate cocktails — Southside, Bramble, and Amor Amarillo. I led the process from initial flavor ideation and industrial formulation to packaging design, naming, and sourcing. These beverages are crafted to blend Argentine tradition with modern cocktail culture, targeting a health-conscious, trend-savvy market.MATEÏ Capsule System
Currently designing a reusable yerba mate capsule using repurposed Nespresso pods. This product is part of a broader sustainability effort — offering a premium home brewing experience that combines tradition, technology, and environmental responsibility.Pop-Up & Mobile Retail Model
Built the concept and service flow for a modular retail experience, including a food truck and pop-up activation strategy for MATEÏ. This system is designed to test brand resonance in high-traffic urban areas like SoHo, blending Latin American cultural aesthetics with New York’s fast-paced street life.Venturis.ai Platform
Co-designed the product architecture and service logic for an AI-powered SaaS platform supporting early-stage beverage entrepreneurs. Key components include:AI-generated brand and packaging outputs
Supplier and co-packer matchmaking
Smart contracts for milestone-based collaboration
Legal document auto-verification (e.g., NDAs)
The platform is designed to drastically reduce the friction of starting a consumer product brand — especially in under-resourced markets.
Sebent (2020)
Designed and prototyped Sebent, an event discovery and marketplace platform built to connect underground events, independent organizers, and niche communities. The platform allowed users to browse curated experiences, buy tickets, and even host their own — aiming to decentralize nightlife and social culture. From UX flow to brand identity and product logic, Sebent was a precursor to my ongoing interest in systems that empower creative communities.
Whether physical, digital, or experiential, every product I design is rooted in real human behavior, business logic, and a cultural point of view.
-
Worked as Creative Design & Innovation Specialist at Eter Studio, where I collaborated with brand strategy teams to develop digital campaigns and visual assets for forward-facing brands in Latin America.
At Parsons, I’ve led the creation of But Why? Xactly., a student-run creative agency aiming to bridge real-world industry with emerging student talent. As Chief Design Strategist, I’ve worked across branding, team-building, and proposal development.
-
Before design, I trained in private banking at Centaurus Sociedad de Bolsa in Buenos Aires — where I helped manage client portfolios and analyze equity opportunities in emerging markets. This foundation in finance sharpened my ability to think in terms of risk, value, and scalability — a skill I now bring into every venture and design process.
-
Throughout my academic career, I’ve sought out positions of responsibility and impact, shaping the experience and outcomes for my peers and institution:
Elected as Student Trustee on The New School’s Board of Trustees, serving as a voice for over 10,000 students, shaping policies, and advocating for greater transparency, student wellbeing, and academic innovation at an institutional level.
Leadership team member at Parsons’ Entrepreneurship Lab (ELab), mentoring student founders, running pitch sessions, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
Competed as a Division 1 Rugby athlete at Northeastern University, developing teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership skills under competitive collegiate athletics.
These roles taught me firsthand how to balance diverse stakeholders, communicate effectively in high-pressure scenarios, and lead through empathy, authenticity, and clarity of purpose.
